• Cordes-sur-Ciel: a gorgeous medieval architecture, well restored and looked after by a number of long-established resident artists and craftsmen.
• Toulouse-Lautrec Museum: the ancient Bishop’s palace at Albi houses the biggest single
collection (600 works) of the locally-born nobleman who made his reputation in 19th century Paris.
• Albi: an exceptional pretty town, dominated by its massive red-brick cathedral.
• Gaillac: a lovely town to visit, in the middle of the Gaillac vineyards.
• Castres: the houses that line the river banks are a mass of multi-coloured facades.
• Goya museum.
